Nestled in the heart of the California Central Valley, just outside of the city limits of Lodi, you will find a rare gem of sorts. A family winery with a unique spin on their flood plain region and where every day is a play on words. Here you will savor small-lot, hand-crafted artisanal wines, created by the dynamic husband-and-wife team, JR and Krystal Wilson. While attending graduate school and studying to become chiropractors, they realized they shared a passion for life and an entrepreneurial spirit. A true match made in heaven. After many years of collectively running their chiropractic office, they decided to turn their decade-long passion project of winemaking for family and friends into their second business adventure together. JR is a native Lodian. He and his family have been cultivating wine grapes in this region for three generations. Several of the wines featured at Wilson Family Winery, such as their small lot of Hide Tide, a handcrafted white wine from Lodi’s oldest known grape varietal, Tokay, are some of the original grapes grown by the family. The anchor of WFW is family, and while visiting and experiencing all that it has to offer, you will walk away feeling like you are now part of the Wilson family as well.
